This week in my web business creation class we focused on more search engine optimization strategies including using feedback from online audit services as well as link building strategies. Because I am holding off on officially starting cupidcrates.com for a while (notice that link building) I focused more on establishing strategies that will work within my business model when it is totally flushed out instead of the framework that I have established now.
Due to the nature of Cupid Crates, I will be creating a lot of content about date ideas and how to improve your dating life. This will give me the opportunity to share content on other blogs that focus on these sort of topics and go about link building this way. Because date idea websites are quite popular and it is somewhat difficult to generate new and original content, if I can create that sort of content and offer bloggers the ability to use this content in exchange for a link then I believe I will be quite successful with my link building.
The other thing we learned was how to look through Google Analytics data to find meaningful data to inform our ad campaigns and content creation. Because google analytics has so much data it can be overwhelming at first but by understanding the data organization you can find data that is very insightful.
